Hand carved figurine of a Kenyan woman.

Fence replacement section by section. Each section only takes two hours so the dogs don't have to be locked up long.

Before carpentry and woodworking, carving is my first love, begun when I got my first pocketknife at age eight. This abstract piece is carved from butternut.
Family crest carved from tulip poplar.

Custom "floating" bookshelves. These use metal supports but are of Tulip Poplar laminated two inches thick and polished to a glass sheen.
The client selected a console table from a catalog that cost $3,200 and asked me to replicate it for an affordable price. I built a table nearly identical in appearance but made from dimensional lumber, finely laminated, sanded and finished. This table cost the client $900 with the cost almost entirely labor. It uses no metal fasteners but instead is held together with joinery and oak dowels.

Freestanding mounting posts for bird (or squirrel) feeders.

Custom made raised planting beds. These can also be made in a configuration easy to fence off from wildlife. I can make these on uneven ground and they can be made from standard fence pickets and 2x2 wood very quickly and conveniently.

The client asked me to mount custom shelves in each son's room so I used two planks of 3/4 poplar laminated together into a slab and sanded, stained, and polished.
